Our idyllic location provides an ideal base to explore the stunning scenery of the Peak District with numerous superb walks directly from the farm and the most spectacular peak district scenery only a short drive away.
Explore Stunning Landscapes
The Peak District is the UK’s oldest national park. We have great walking, climbing, road and mountain biking routes right from the farm.
We have selected a few of our favourite local walks. We have tried to provide an interesting variety of walks, some directly from the farm and some a short drive away.
Located on an East facing hillside we get superb sunrise on our farm, and as an added bonus if you head out early you can see awe inspiring herds of red deer on the moors above our farm. Read more about the local deer in our blog.
We are always happy to advise our guests on the wonderful activities and surrounding areas to explore. Please be aware that the local terrain is steep and rocky and has a tendency to be muddy.
Walks from the farm
Walk 1 – Around Bole Hill – 2.5 miles / 4km 1.5 hours
Walk 2 – Through the fields and along Oldhay Brook – 1.5 miles / 2.5km 50 minutes
Walk 3 – Through Gillfield Woods and Totley Old Village – 2.5 miles / 4.0km 1.5 hours
Walk 4 – Blackamoor Woods and the stepping stones – 2.5 miles / 4.0km 1.5 hours
Walk 5 – Over the moors to Longshaw & back – 7 miles / 11 km 3.5 hours
Walk 12 – Explore Blackamoor Nature Reserve Heathland & Woodland – 3.5 miles / 6 km 1 hour 45
Walk 13 – Up to Totley Trig Point to enjoy spectacular views – 4 miles / 7 km 2 hours
