Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing to stay at Bank View Farm and we look forward to welcoming you.
By booking and staying with us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions and these form a contract between us.
Accommodation rates
Prices quoted are per room per night and include a full English breakfast (or other hot meal choices).
Cancellation policy
If you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to your stay you will receive a full refund of any deposit / monies paid.
If you cancel within 2 weeks of your stay, we will charge a cancellation fee of 20% of the total stay cost. This will generally be taken out of any deposit / monies already paid.
We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover yourself in case of late cancellation.
Check-in & Checkout
Check-in is usually between 3.00pm and 8.00pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is by 11.00am on the day of departure. These times can be flexible if other bookings permit. We can store baggage on the day of arrival or departure if you require.
It is very helpful if you can let us know your expected arrival time. This is a requirement if you plan to arrive after 8pm.
Pets
Bank View Farm Bed & Breakfast is unable to accept pets (with the exception of assistance dogs). Should you wish to bring your dog with you please look at our dog friendly self-catering cottage – The Dairy.
Allergies, Food Intolerances and Dietary Requirements
We take allergies, food intolerances and dietary requirements seriously. Please let us know prior to your stay so that we can make sure we are able to cater for any specific needs.
Please note we feed birds around the farm with nuts and seeds.
Take-away food
We are very happy for guests to bring back takeaway food to enjoy in the Breakfast room. There is crockery and cutlery in the sideboard which you are welcome to use. We ask that guests do not bring takeaway food into their rooms due to the risk of spillage and unpleasant, lingering odours.
Health & safety
Guests are reminded that we are situated in a rural area with rough and uneven ground and some steep slopes. Care should be taken whilst out and about in the grounds, and in the surrounding countryside. Please follow the Countryside Code, keep to the footpaths and please close any gates you go through.
Accessibility
Please see our separate accessibility statement. We are committed to doing all we can to make our accommodation accessible to all. If you have additional needs or special requirements, we will be very happy to discuss these with you.
Parking
We have ample, safe on-site parking, but this is entirely at your own risk and we cannot accept any responsibility for theft or damage to your vehicle.
Damages
We reserve the right to charge for breakages and/or damages to Bank View Farm against the card held for payment. Persons making the booking will be held responsible for any damages.
Smoking
Guests are not allowed to smoke or vape anywhere indoors, including the guest bedrooms and suites. Anyone found to be smoking or vaping indoors will be liable to a cleaning charge of up to £250, payable against the credit card held to cover the booking. Smoking is allowed outside in the gardens and grounds, but please consider other guests and smoke away from courtyards and patios.
Wi-Fi and Mobile Reception
Fast free broadband internet access is provided. We are in a rural location therefore mobile reception can be patchy with some service providers. Most smart phones can be set to receive Wi-Fi calling so will work on this basis around the accommodation.
CCTV
In some of the public areas of the bed and breakfast CCTV is in operation and recordings made. This is purely for security reasons for the benefit of both guests of the hotel and staff.
Age Policy
Our accommodation is designed for adult guests. We accept guests aged 14 and over, however we do require each party to have at least one adult aged 18 or over.
